A Short History of Israel

In light of the latest blowup in the Middle East, I thought I would post this little ditty here. A "Short History of Israel", posted in the comments section of cynical, fanatical, anti-everything, but still very interesting Angry Arab News Service blog, run by As'Ad AbuKhalil, a Leftist Lebanese professor at California State University Stanislaus, which is about 100 miles northwest of my home.

On his fanaticism, see this extremist rant against the US leftwing publication The Nation, with a swipe at the generally good Jewish progressive publication Tikkun, for example. On his cynicism and anti-everythingism, see just about any of his ranting, meandering posts. Nevertheless, he is still an excellent resource on the region and a nice example of Arab Leftist thought.
