Colombian Congressman Has Stroke on Live TV

I am looking for translators to translate this post into German and Bulgarian. Email me if you are interested.

Spanish translation (en Español). French translation (en Français). Tagalog translation (isinalin sa Tagalog).

Yet another incredible video. In this video shot at an unknown time, a Congressman from Colombia, Jose Fernando Castro Caycedo, is discussing the reform of Colombian law that would mandate that citizens get permission from the government to do something, when suddenly he has a stroke.

He is in the middle of his spiel when suddenly he says, "...Sorry, it's...it's..." Then he says he is having a stroke. He died as a result of this stroke. You can tell it's a stroke by the way he keeps falling to his left side, which indicates a right brain stroke.

The lighting is strange in this video. After he has his stroke, the lighting suddenly becomes much lighter. This is probably due to all of the men in dark clothes who have rushed to the scene. When this happens, the iris of the camera has to compensate due to the change in lighting and you can get some interesting effects.

RIP Jose Fernando Castro Caycedo.

  1. Robert, You're description as to how you can tell this is a stroke is inaccurate. The shaking could be a sign of something medical but more likely not related to his stroke at all.us The more telling image is that he was unable to sit and kept falling to his left, which would indicate a right brain stroke. That would leave the left side of his body weak and they frequently have problems sitting up. I was a Paramedic for 10 years and never saw the shaking thing associated with stroke. No disrespect intended.
