At this time she was alive and still conscious, though in shock. She died at the hospital, approximately three hours after being removed from the vehicle.
The seven paparazzi on the scene when police arrived were arrested on suspicion of manslaughter but never charged. Some of them reportedly were taking photos just a few centimeters from her face--emergency workers had to push them out of the way when they arrived.

I thoroughly enjoy your blogs and more often than not we share the same opinions but I gotta say this bugs me. No one will let the poor woman rest in peace. I mean, she died what seems like eons ago and people are still bringing this up. It's not just you personally, I know. But what is it about this particular accident that makes people unable to let it go?
