I'll proudly don this label, though I admit that some (or many) practitioners of this new form of "the oldest hatred" (sic) are taking it way too far into what I call "vulgar anti-Semitism".

As a basic philosophical position, this blog will take the logical Left position of embracing a reasonable form of "new antisemitism" while in general taking a principled Left line (at the very least following Paul de Man's wartime essays and Jacques Derrida's interpretation of his writing)* in opposing vulgar anti-Semitism as an example of backwardness, stupidity, lazy thinking, racism and in general, just reactionary bullshit.

Confused?

Good.

Deal with it, anti-Semites and Jewish nationalists.

*The link is to some deconstructionist stuff starring Derrida, Paul De Man and some others, and the subject is as abstruse as most of that stuff is. For this who don't feel like wading through the post-structuralist mud, I will try to sum it up:

During WW2, in 1942, Paul De Man wrote some anti-Semitic articles for the Vichy Nazi press in France. De Man later went on to become one of the big deconstructionist guys. So it came out that he had written this Vichy Nazi stuff, and it was a big scandal.

Derrida "deconstructed" his work and noted that in his work, De Man had argued against "vulgar anti-Semitism", which is more of an "I know it when I see it" thing than something well-defined.

Nevertheless, his article would still be seen as anti-Semitic by any reasonable reader. So Derrida, in deconstructing De Man, wrote that since all anti-Semitism was vulgar necessarily, De Man, in condemning vulgar anti-Semitism and not mentioning any other kind, was actually condemning all anti-Semitism. This set off a spate of articles back and forth in deconstructionist circles.

Joseph Griebowski is one odd fellow. He's head of a very strange organization called Institute on Religion and Public Policy. It will be discussed in an upcoming post. Griebowski himself is some sort of a hardline Zionist. He's also a weird, Strangeglovian-looking character. It's apparently got some kind of big neoconservative and possibly Jewish money behind it.

He goes up on Capital Hill and travels all over the world agitating for "religious freedom", generally in lands that are being targeted by the neocons and International Zionism. He's also apparently waging US imperialism's war of words with China. His specialty is humanitarian intervention bullshit as my commenters have been discussing lately. His particular angle is "religious freedom".

If your country is not allowing enough religious freedom (which, frankly, is none of our Goddamned business) then he's going to wage fake human rights war on you in service of International Zionism or US imperialism. Lately his targets have been South Sudan, Darfur, China and Kosovo. Imperialism doesn't care about S Sudan or Darfur, but Zionism does. Imperialism hates China though.

For Kosovo, imperialism supports them, but probably hard right Zionism hates them for being Muslims in Europe. Looks like they have conned all sorts of suckers into going along with this scam. Looking through the officers and staff, I can't see any reason why most of these people give a flying fuck about "religious freedom".

Furthermore, they for the most part seem to be serving US imperialism in one way or another. So I figure this is just some bullshit "religious freedom" garbage to push the interests of US imperialism and Zionism. On their Board of Directors is a motley collection of Christians (almost all rightwing Catholics, fundamentalist Protestants or Baptists), Jews of various types, wacky New Age kooks, etc.

This is a new online magazine on the Net. I just noticed it; they've only been online for 4 months and they already have high readership of around 45,000 readers a day. Actually, this magazine is pretty scary, and it definitely has big money behind it. A very large number of the authors are extremely hard rightwing Zionist Jews, and some of them have CIA and probably Mossad connections.

Lets take a look at the authors:

Gal Luft is an Israeli or possibly Jewish "American" author who consorts with former CIA director James Woolsey and seems to have deep connections to the Israeli state.

Anne Korin, (photo) Jewish "American" author and pundit, is a hard-Right Zionist. A mysterious woman, she is a co-director with Luft of the Institute for the Analysis of Global Security (IAGS). IAGS seems to have deep ties US and Israeli intelligence. She is also an agent of the weird ultra-rightwing seminal neoconservative group the Committee on the Present Danger.

Part of their agenda (Korin is the director of the weird, neoconservative and far rightwing Set America Free Coalition and editor of Energy Security) is the demonization of Arabs and Iran and concomitantly, urging the US and Israel to get off of oil in order to bankrupt the Arabs and probably also to sever the alliance between the US and Gulf Arab big money.

Cindy Hurst is a US naval commander who has deep ties to International Zionism and the CIA via IAGS. She works for the Foreign Military Studies Office, which is just a research office for US imperialism, armed branch. Quite a few high-ranking naval officers, often Gentiles, have deep connections to International Zionism.

Edwin Black, though the name does not seem to be Jewish, is a hard-rightwing Jewish "American" writer for the New York Times with deep connections to Israel.

Howard Kohr, the Jewish "American" director of the spearhead of the treasonous Jewish Lobby in the US, AIPAC, authors many pieces.

Walid Phares, is a Lebanese "American" scholar. He is a reactionary Lebanese Maronite Phalangist exiled from Lebanon because he is too reactionary for the current political situation there. The remaining Maronites in Lebanon are for the most part the saner ones - the real nutjobs have long left the place.

He is deep with USCFL, the neoconservative Phalangist arm in the US that has deep connections with far right Zionism in Israel and the US. In particular, he is in deep with Daniel Pipes, discussed in a previous post.

Sam Orez is a little known "American" author, but the name is Jewish and he writes for the Israeli press and on AIPAC and American Jewish Committee issues.

Jewish "American" David Harris, another contributor, is the director of the American Jewish Committee.

Benedict Rogers is deeply involved with the Tory Party of the UK. His purpose is to attack the admittedly horrible Burmese regime, not because it is awful, but because US and apparently British imperialism is waging war on the place because the economy is largely state-owned and the regime has not fully opened itself up to multinational corporations yet.

Joe Eskenazi is a hardline Zionist Jew and a reporter for j, a Jewish weekly. He profiles Jewish "American" gazillionaire Larry Ellison of Oracle (probably one of the world's most arrogant and unpleasant humans) on his trip to Sderot to commiserate with Jews living under largely ineffective rocket fire. Ellison is probably a big bucks money guy in the Jewish Lobby in the US, and it might be useful to investigate this.

Micah Halpern is an extreme rightwing Jew, the usual dual-loyalty type, born in the US and moved to Israel, probably treasonously holding dual citizenship. He frequently writes for far Right Israeli papers.

Ronald Kessler is a big editor at the far rightwing Newsmax.com website.

Gary Rosenblatt is the Editor in Chief of New York Jewish Week.

Aaron Klein is an "American" Jewish journalist who spends his time working out of the extreme rightwing Worldnetdaily's Jerusalem Bureau, often reported wild, insane and ridiculous Israeli propaganda. He did go out and interview the Al Aqsa Martyr's Brigade though, but he seems to have turned that into a book-length hit piece on armed Palestinians.

Klein is behind the "Obama is a 1960's Weatherman terrorist radical bomber" bullshit. He's currently waging jihad against Obama, apparently on the grounds of being soft on Israel and supportive of Palestinian terrorism, which is dubious. Syria and Jordan both refused him entry to their countries, supposedly for being a Jew, but I think it was mostly for being a Zionist agent and an asshole to boot. Good call.

David Brog is the insane Protestant fundamentalist Zionist connection. He's the Executive Director of Christians United for Israel, chaired by ultra-nutcase Pastor John Hagee.

Armstrong Williams is an ultra-rightwing Black Oreo talk show host and token House Negro serving tea for massa. He was thought to have fallen to infamy recently, but I guess he's resurfacing on this weird website and his radio station is either back on the air or never left the air. Armstrong peddled himself as an ultra-rightwing Black Christian ranting and raving about liberals and liberal values destroying America.

Truth is that Williams is fucking gay, and he's been known to have sexually harassed over 100 men to try to get them to fuck him in the ass or let him suck their dicks or whatever. The media properly buried this story, since it involves a far rightwinger, but it's all true. I don't mind gay men, but I really hate hypocrites.

He's still totally closeted and a liar, and if you look on his website, you have to admit he looks awfully queer. Armstrong loves Israel too, by the way, but probably not as much as a big White cock.

James Quinn is a economist and a professor and Senior Director of Strategic Planning, The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He certainly doesn't serve imperialism or the US ruling class. He's some kind of far rightwing "buy gold and silver" sky is falling nutcase economist type of whom we've always had plenty in the US.

Nonie Darwish is some kind of a crazy person, a Palestinian raised in Gaza who moved to the US and decided to shill for Israel! What the Hell? Who's signing her checks anyway?

As long as he is on the subject of all these former Leftists transitioning to the Right since the fall of the USSR, and in particular aligning themselves with the War on Terror (the pro-war Left in the UK, the neoconservatives in the US), I wonder if he will touch on the notion and an unbelievably over-representative number of them are Jewish?

I mean, in the UK and in the US, this movement, at least at the beginning, was for all intents and purposes are Jewish movement. It's still practically a Jewish-led movement at the very least.

No Hate Crimes?

On the more mainstream and moderate White nationalist sites such as American Renaissance, the general tone of the pieces and in the comments is that there really is no such thing as White racism in the US anymore.

There are only a pitiful few incidents here and there, and it's all a big joke.

Hanging nooses is just a silly gag. Blacks and Hispanics need to quit being so hypersensitive about everything, and just let it go. Racism, when it refers to Whites, is always in quotes, implying it does not even exist, while other races are constantly accused of racism against Whites that is actually real. So it is as if the only real racism problem in the US is against White people.

The usual response is to say that these people are just a bunch of lying racists.

I will, however, say that there is a bit of truth to these accusations. Racism by Whites is dramatically exaggerated in the US, and every little comment or scribble is inspected for the horrible crime. Hispanics and Blacks in particular are far too wont to yell racism over every little thing, in many cases over mostly or completely innocent comments.

Entire subjects that do not necessarily have anything to do with racism are walled off and forbidden from discussion. On the other hand, non-Whites get to bash away at Whites for all of their racial crimes, past, present and future, while Whites are supposed to sit there and take it, groveling, like guilty supplicants. There is a presumption that non-Whites are incapable of racism and that Whites are automatically filled with it.

This is all nonsense, but it's a product of the Left in the US and the West that started this crazy conversation about 40 years ago. They've been quite successful selling this silliness to the public.

On the other hand, there surely is racism in the US. I don't think much of the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), but they do have an interesting list of racist incidents in the US for the first three months of 2008. It seems pretty incredible the amount of this stuff that is going on, or is it?

One thing for sure - you rarely hear about it in your own town. Considering what a multicultural society we are, it is amazing that there is not much more of this going on in every reasonable-sized city just about every day. Right? Or am I wrong?

You will note that simple name-calling is apparently not listed, and is not a crime. Some of the stuff on that list seem a bit of a reach. In the course of a fight, or altercation, racial slurs are uttered. Now we have a hate crime.

This strikes me as an excess. There was an altercation. A fight? A verbal fight, or a physical one? In the course of the altercation, some slurs got uttered. This is a crime? I'd like to know some more facts about this case.

Unfortunately, in a free society people get to call each other names, and in the course of fights, people will just call each other any slur that comes to their minds that seems to apply to the person they are fighting.

For instance, in the past ten years, I did call a Black man a nigger once. On the other hand, I'm going to say I'm not a racist.

He ran a recycling place and I used to take my bottles up there. He got mad at me when I did not separate my browns from my greens from my clears. I forget what happened, but a shouting match ensued. This is not normal behavior for me - I'm a quiet guy and I don't get into it much with people. In the course of this argument, I called him a nigger. Not once, but a few times.

Not because I'm a raving racist; I'll say I'm not, and you're welcome to disagree. More because at that moment I hated him, he was Black, and fishing in my bag of tricks for insults, it seemed appropriate. If he was fat or ugly, I would have insulted him on those bases.

I've since talked to a Black woman I know, and she was quite upset that I did that. I'm going to think about whether I want to do that again.

I wonder how often this sort of thing goes on? In the course of fights and shouting matches, angry people will say stuff they would not ordinarily say. Not out of racism or bigotry, but because in a fight, you use any ammo you've got.

Most of the other stuff on that list is pretty clear-cut and straightforward. I was shocked by the amount of anti-Semitism in the US. I don't like the ADL, and I think they go nuts about anti-Semitism, but you can see quite a few cases on that list of anti-Semitic graffiti on Jewish institutions, vandalism of Jewish graveyards, actual assaults on and threats against Jews, etc.

I was appalled by that, and surprised. For the first time in a while, I will throw a shout out to the Jewish groups who are publicizing this, while deploring their efforts to code as anti-Semitic a wide variety of comments and writings that are generally not. The ADL types go overboard, but there's clearly an anti-Semitism problem. Things are complicated.

On the White Nationalist boards, there is a lot of talk about how most assaults by Blacks against Whites are accompanied by racial slurs. Typically, the police deny that a hate crime occurred. The White Nationalists have an interesting point, and if White assaults combined with slurs get hate crime attachments, it's about time to start slamming a lot of Blacks with the same stuff.

I guess the assumption is that the Black criminal victimized the person just to be a criminal, and that racism was secondary, and therefore the attack was not primarily bias-motivated, instead it was primarily dirty criminal-motivated. Perhaps that is so, but fair is fair, and there appears to be a double-standard here.

There were 104 incidents over a 93 day period in the first three months of 2008. That's a little over one a day, and most all of these incidents are pretty serious.

A 2005 report by the US government found that there were 191,000 hate crimes in that year. That's 600 a day! That's 24 an hour. One every two or three minutes. Does that seem credible?

I wonder what standard they were using to judge what is a hate crime? The same as in the SPLC list? If so, there's still a big problem here in the US. But if they are using everything down to my little argument above, the report is pretty meaningless. Someone might want to get ahold of that report and see what's really in it.

White nationalists say that in a multicultural society, these sort of incidents are to be expected and are in fact normal. Why? Because a certain amount of racial hostility is to be expected in such a society. Are they right? If not, why not?

The appropriate response to this issue is the Middle Way, as the Taoists say. Not to overemphasize racism and exaggerate it out of all sanity, and not, on the other hand, to say that it barely even exists anymore.

For the record, SPLC does list several anti-immigrant groups that do not strike me as racist in any way, shape or form. SPLC says:

These groups generally attack immigrants as individuals, rather than merely disagreeing with immigration policy. Some have close ties to white supremacist ideas, groups and individuals.

That statement is just wrong about several of those groups. The groups listed are:

• Federation for American Immigration Reform


• Social Contract Press


• Emigration Party of Nevada


• Border Guardians

Of those, Save Our State, American Patrol and the Federation for American Immigration Reform are surely not racist at all. I can't speak of the rest, but I imagine they are the same. True, Social Contract Press is racist, but they are on the moderate end of White nationalism.

It seems like any group screaming about the illegal alien invasion of the US is going to get tagged with a racist label. That's where SPLC is so wrong and does a lot of damage.

Israel Shamir On The Wikipedia Jews

I think Shamir probably does the best job so far in explaining the phenomenon of the Wikipedia Jews that we have been over a lot on this blog. I would like to point out that this blog was one of the first outlets to pick up on the Wikipedia Jew phenomenon and report on it.

Now, three years later, lots of others are finally starting to figure out what everyone editing Jewish-related articles on Wikipedia knows. He also goes into the nefarious character known as Chip Berlet, who works as a spy for the ADL and some say for the CIA. I had some run-ins with this idiot when I edited the Israel Shamir article on Wikipedia, which is a travesty. This article still states that Shamir is a Swedish neo-Nazi living in Sweden.

This is not true. Shamir is a Russian Jew who immigrated to Israel. His father was a rabbi. He served in the Israeli military and wrote for the Israeli press for a bit. He lives in Israel and owns a home in Jaffa where he entertains visitors every day.

The liars centered around Berlet and cohort of "antifas" centered around the Searchlight Magazine in the UK have launched this insane campaign against Shamir. This nonsense suggests that Shamir is not Jewish, has never lived in Israel and does not live there presently, never wrote for the Israeli press, and never lived in the USSR. Instead, he is a Swedish neo-Nazi who is pretending to be all of these other things.

The nefarious Roland Rance, mentioned in connection with the war on Gilad Atzmon, once again plays a big role here. Some pro-Palestinians, including Nigel Parry, Hussein Ibish and Ali Abunimah, have joined in. Stephen Pollard has also chimed in.

It is true that Shamir, like many authors, has maintained many fake names and has written under those names. He has even set up fake identities for his names, including addresses and histories. If you are controversial, I actually recommend that you do just this if you want to rewrite. Get yourself a nom de plume right now!

Jews are often accused of hatching or engaging in this or that conspiracy to further the interests of the Jews. Shamir does an excellent job in this piece of explaining the phenomenon of the Jewish conspiracy, what it means, and why it occurs. It's useful to note that many so-called Jewish conspiracies are nonexistent and that any sensible group or individuals connected to power or money form cabals to further their interests.

The rich in any society are constantly conspiring. They conspired in order to obtain wealth, and they need to conspire in order to maintain wealth and not lose to competitors. The rich and the powerful conspire all the time and so do the rest of us probably. Many males have conspired to get a woman into bed; I certainly have. I could go on and on here, but I think you get the picture.

This is an excellent piece by Shamir and is mostly or wholly free of anti-Semitism.

Massad is an instructor at Colombia University who has been targeted by the Jewish Zionist David Project who tried to get him fired on the basis of a bunch of made-up bullshit, primarily that he made anti-Semitic remarks. Massad is a Palestinian and he is not too happy with the Jews in Palestine, but he is the last person to be an anti-Semite.

In fact, I think he takes his anti-anti-Semitism way too far when he denies, Chomsky-like, the notion that there is a Jewish Lobby that exerts tremendous power in the US. Instead, the whole reason for US support for Israel is that it is some kind of an outpost of US imperialism in the Arab World. This thesis is appealing to Leftists because it absolves Jews of wrongdoing, but it's nonsense.

If anyone is a colony of anyone, the US is a colony of Israel. The US gets zero benefits from its so-called Israeli colony and a ton of heartache and bloodshed. The Israeli outpost has zero value and lots of negative value to US imperialism. Instead, US support for Israel is best explained by a US-Israeli alliance and an extremely powerful Jewish Lobby in the US, particularly in the media.

Also, at this point, most Americans just flat out support Israel, so there is a confluence of interests between the body politics of the two nations. As Massad is a Leftist, he peddles this "Israel as US colony" bullshit. Jeff Blankfort has written many an article dismantling this Chomskyian position. You can Google him with the name Chomsky to find some of those pieces if you are interested in the dynamics.

Massad is also opposed to gay rights, probably due to the fact that he is a Palestinian, and Palestinian culture is very hostile to gay rights. So he's a homophobic Leftist. Oh well.

He's a follower of the late and great Edward Said, but suffers the same faults that Said did, particularly in the emphasis of both men on "Orientalism", so to explain away any critique of Arab society as being backwards, reactionary, misogynist, or fucked up in any way.

Jewish Family Feuds

This matter is actually quite complex, and for background please see this article here. This involves a feud between some anti-Zionist Jews mostly located in the UK. It involves a splinter Troskyidiot sect called the Socialist Workers Party. In brief, some of the anti-Zionist Leftist Jews have accused some of the other anti-Zionist Leftist Jews of being anti-Semites. Dumb, huh?

It's just Jewish Family Feud, that's all. On one side is Israel Shamir, Gilad Atzmon and Mary Rizzo, who runs a superb blog called Peace Palestine (the so-called anti-Semites). On the other side is the whole of the SWP, including most particularly persons such as Roland Rance, Tony Greenstein and the author of the Jews Sans Frontiers blog.

These Jews are sitting around arguing about what is the best way to "support the Palestinians". Should we be anti-Semites about it or not? Supposedly the fate of the Palestinians hinges on the conclusion of this Jewish Family Feud. As in most cases of these sorts of intratribal conflicts, no one outside the tribe very much gives a fuck.

I'm sure the Palestinians could care less what a bunch of Jews outside Israel who aren't trying to kill them think about them. They've got their own battles to wage. I'm more or less neutral on the whole affair, and I think everyone involved has a case of excessive self-importance going on.

Excessive self-importance is typical of Jewish Family Feuds. They act like the fate of Western Civilization hangs on the thread of these intra-Jewish conflicts, but the truth is that almost everyone who is not a Jew (and even most Jews) could give a flying fuck how it all turns out.

Neither Mary nor Atzmon are anti-Semites (surely not Mary), though Atzmon really pushes the envelope. Shamir is an anti-Semite sometimes, and other times he is not. He's a real shit-stirrer. I think Shamir is a brilliant writer and thinker, and his anti-Semitism should just be ignored. His work is valuable and deserves a critical reading. I disagree that Shamir is a supporter White Power.

I do not agree that Atzmon is a Holocaust Denier. That is a feverish, absurd charge.

Bottom line is I think that anti-Palestinianism is a Hell of a lot more dangerous to Palestinians than anti-Semitism is to Jews these days. How many of the world's 18 million Jews are getting killed per year by anti-Semites? Not too many. How many of the 4 million Palestinians in Palestine are getting injured or killed by anti-Palestinians every year. Way, way more. So who's in greater danger?

The problems of the Palestinians are so massive, and the pro-Palestinian movement in the US and UK so pitiful that this whole spat boils down to a tempest in a teapot. Palestinians would do better to focus on how to resist Zionism, preferably with improved weaponry, in my opinion.

We should note that all parties mentioned above are Jewish.

i. The latest problems with the Peace Palestine site have nothing whatsoever to do with me. If the blog was described as a 'spam blog' that was entirely Google's doing and in fact the same happened to the Azvsas blog which I help run.

v. The term 'tribal and ethnocentric Leftist Jews' is itself racist. It presumes if someone speaks out because they are Jewish they represent or purport to represent others besides themselves as part of some Jewish power interest.

Criticism of Atzmon for advocating conspiracy theories, including his notion that it is irrelevant if the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion is a forgery (The Times managed that one a mere 87 years ago) suggest deep anti-Semitism i.e. racism towards Jews.


vi. Yes life is complicated by those who associate my criticisms of Atzmon with that of a person known as Ibraham Av. Av supports the Israeli state, I don't. I just happen to understand that indulging in puerile and childish accusations of conspiracy, seeing the hidden hand of Jews everywhere, including financing New Labour in Britain, isn't the best way of supporting the Palestinians.

However the attacks were begun by Atzmon and his even more anti-Semitic White Power chum Israel Shamir. We responded, we didn't initiate.


vii. If you think that anti-Semitism, Holocaust Denial, nonsense about 'Jewish Power' is going to help the Palestinians in any way, then fine. The irony is that whereas some of us are to the fore in the Boycott campaign, it is Atzmon who opposes that campaign whilst at the same time continually attacking Jewish Anti-Zionists (have a look at his Dialectic of the Negation).


viii. And why is he attacking Jewish anti-Zionists, which Atzmon says is automatically Zionist because to him being Jewish is to be a Zionist? Because Israel claims all sorts of things on our behalf and we reject them.

So I'm a Nazi?

Repost from an earlier post. It was transferred to a separate post because it distracted from the post it was in. I also significantly expanded it with some new comments about Muslims and how in many ways many of them behave in ways that strikingly resemble the classic anti-Semitic stereotype of Jews.

What the Hell? I haven't been called that in a while, but I do get called no good Commie mass murderer a lot. That actually doesn't feel bad. It sort of feels good really. I used to get called Nazi a lot on here, and, yeah, I admit that it pisses me off. I say it pisses me off cuz it's not true.

I used to get called Nazi or anti-Semite on here quite a bit, mostly because I am opposed to Zionism. Most of the people calling me that are Zionists, often but not always Jewish (kind of hard to tell on the Internet!) My opinion about Zionism is, at best, that it is ridiculous. In August 2007, I got called that on the so-called "liberal" Democratic website Democratic Underground in relation to this post of mine that thoroughly thrashes the disgusting Holocaust huckster Elie Wiesel.

Surely the Jewish survivors (Bless their hearts!) of the Holocaust deserve to be represented by a better man that this snake named Wiesel. Note that mmscghee and JudyM on that thread are both liberal US Jews, a group that in my opinion, is now morally bankrupt due to their support for Zionism.

See my position statement on race regarding charges that I am racist. I do not respond to anti-Semitism charges except to deny them. This blog takes a strong stand on anti-Semitism, and two guest authors have already been temporarily banned for anti-Semitism. My opinion about obsessive anti-Semitism is that it is almost a form of mental illness.

That said, way too many Jews bandy the charge about way too much. On the other hand, the guys in this video are definitely not good for the Jews! Jews fighting anti-Semitism should focus their energy on the type of folks in this video and relax about the rest of their largely hallucinated enemies.

When hyperethnocentric Jews accuse you of being an anti-Semite, there is no defense against the charge that may exonerate you, so pleas of innocence are worthless. If you try to defend yourself, the Jews will start a sadistic game of cat-torturing-mouse that never ends.

People who call me a Nazi are either ignorant, stupid, emotional or simply lying on purpose. The vast majority are Jewish, so I assume they are not stupid, which leaves three alternatives. The obvious intent of these Jews, living in their purely emotional world as they do, is to first smear me and destroy me, second, to shut me up, and third, apparently, to turn me into a Nazi, assuming I am not already one.

This last because I have come to believe that many or possibly most Jews, like hyperethnocentric ultranationalists everywhere, love to be hated. I realize that sounds outrageous, but bear with me.

Not only do they love being hated, but like true masochist-paranoiacs (the word virtually defines any ultranationalist anywhere) they want to create as many enemies as possible and then to radicalize those enemies to the furthest extent possible. Probably unconsciously.

I assume many or even most Jews are most comfortable, unconsciously once again, in a world that is at once teeming with genocidal anti-Semites, yet at the same time safe enough that these Jews can somehow survive, prosper and not get seriously hurt.

Don't ask me how it all makes sense. Explaining mental illness is never easy.

When you consider that these Jews screaming "anti-Semite" at you want to turn you into one, why give them the pleasure?

I have been receiving emails lately from a Leftist colleague who has just been banned from an Internet group for being an "Islamophobe". I think he was also accused of being a Jew. I've been called Jew too, and if only it were true! My friend is a Leftist secularist and most of the members of the group are Americans who for some dumb reason have converted to Islam, of all religions.

My friend is hip to a Leftist notion (along with me) that sees Islam as a particularly backwards and reactionary religion with some very serious issues regarding supremacism, imperialism, intolerance and out and out violence. It's cool that people on the Left are finally speaking up about this. The Left formerly had a long tradition of taking on reactionary Islam from the USSR to Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

That's all pretty much gone now and the Left is on board with the nuttiest of the Muslim reactionaries.

My friend noted how the group had quickly turned into heavy-duty Muslim proselytization (Muslims are almost as bad about proselytizing as fundamentalist Christians) along with an obsession with Islamophobia. He pointed out that these Muslims in their obsession with Islamophobia resemble Jews in their obsession with anti-Semitism. There is a particularly delicious feeling to be had in being an irrationally persecuted victim, a feeling that humans crave.

We want to be victims.

These Muslims are convinced that the US is out to destroy Islam. Truth is that the US as an imperialist state doesn't give two shits about anyone's religion. And believe me! To the Bushes and all the rest of the US imperial fanatics, religion takes a very distant back seat to imperialism and the game of making money. If Muslims can help us make a bundle, hey, it's all good.

The US' close alliance with Saudi Arabia (see the particularly stupid articles in the press these days about "Bush getting snubbed by the Saudis" with all of the idiot overtones that the high price of gas is due to an "oil shortage" when the fact is that there is no oil shortage and the price is almost all due to speculation) is a case in point.

The Saudis are as reactionary and nuts as Islam gets. The real truth is that almost all of the fanatical Sunni movements in the world today, particularly the armed ones, have come straight out of Saudi Arabia and the other Gulf states. Al Qaeda is for all intents and purposes a Saudi organization - a few years ago, estimates were that 80% of cadre were Saudis.

The conservatism that is enveloping Sunni Islam all around the globe now - and that will only spread in coming years, is due to peculiarly Saudi customs spreading out from the vortex in Arabia to the rest of Sunni Islam.

Given that the US backs up the most reactionary Islamic state of them all, one that is responsible at least in part for the vast majority of Islamic terrorism on Earth, belies the victim addict nostrum that the US is out to destroy Islam. Hardly. We are empowering its most virulent and reactionary proponent.

The Saudi regime treats religious minorities, in particular the Shia, worse than Iran treats its minorities, and Iran doesn't treat its minorities all that great. Muslim countries with significant Christian populations, except for Syria and Jordan, don't usually treat their Christians very well. Meanwhile, Christian societies fall all over themselves to suck up to Islam and still get bashed as Islamophobic.

Point is it's not only Jews who get off on being victims and are obsessed with their enemies. To some extent, all ethnic nationalists do this. And Islam does it these days almost as much as the Jews do. Try to see Jewish behavior within its larger human context instead of singling them out anti-Semitically.

About the UN's "Anti-Semitism"

It's a common trope among Zionists that the UN's obsession with Israel is an example of how the UN is anti-Semitic and hates Israel. What is the UN? The UN is not some evil Communist or anti-Semitic organization.

It is nothing but an organization of all of the nations of the world, for the most part with a single vote for each one. It is a great exercise in world democracy. If it seems Leftist, Communist or socialist, than maybe that is because most nations on the Earth seem Communist, Leftist or socialist to the person making that statement.

The UN cannot be separated from the states of the world. The states in the UN tend to take stances that are similar to those of their people. If you hate the UN, then you hate the majority of the people of this planet. Are you comfortable with that? Just so we know where you are coming from.

Israel is seriously violating international law with its settlement bullshit, and that is what all the UN opprobrium is all about. Other scofflaws who are also violating International law in a similar manner with regard to settlements and colonization are also regularly slammed in the UN, so it's not an anti-Semitism thing.

See regular UN votes against Morocco (Spanish Sahara colonization), Indonesia (Papua New Guinea and East Timor colonization) and Turkey (Cyprus colonization).

It is a great thing that settler-colonization, a project existing for most of man's history, seems to be coming to an end now in the early 21st Century. For this glorious human rights achievement, International Zionism says we, the leading charge of the World Human Rights Movement, an extension of the revolution started in 1814 by Napoleon himself, are a bunch of Nazis!

Keep in mind that most UN states are former colonies, so they don't like Israel's ongoing colonization project too much, to put it mildly.

I'm acquainted with Juan, and it's despicable that this guy is called an anti-Semite. He's as far from that as anyone is. He's paranoid of the whole issue. He has even offhand implied to me in private emails that I am venturing into anti-Semitism, where he dares not go, I assure you.

So Juan pens a groveling post to his "Israeli readers" (Who needs em? Tell em to take a hike if they don't like it!) replete with gushing prose about how great Israel is. The post mostly talks about all the cool and brainy things smart Israeli Jews are coming up, but Jews would be making all these brainy scholarly breakthroughs just as much in the Diaspora.

Actually, I suspect that the latent anti-Semitism in the Diaspora actually sparks Jewish creativity through some weird psychological mechanism, and that Israel, the biggest Jewish ghetto ever, stunts Jewish intellectual creativity, but that's another matter.

Suck up, suck up, suck up, Juan.

I tell you. You've angered the Zionist Jews, and no sucking up short of overt groveling and toe-sucking will ever do, and even that is usually contingent forever, since your "anti-Semitism" of the past will always be held against you.

Ok, this site is pretty funny. I don't think it's really anti-Semitic at all, but I'm not sure. The whole thing is pretty much tongue in cheek, and after a while I thought it was another one of those fake anti-Semitic sites those hilarious Jewish comedians are always putting up.

Shilter's List is an archive of the 120,000 people who signed the petition to have Jew-Watch removed from Google's search engine, because when folks typed in "Jew", the first link they got was Jew-Watch, which is run by some sort of anti-Semite Holocaust Denier type with a German name. Creepy!

I don't really like Jew-Watch, but it's one of my brother's favorite sites. He never had anything against Jews until he sued the local cops for tasering him with stun guns just to torture someone for fun. The lawyer was some Jewish guy. Well, my brother found out and told my grandpa, who, bless his departed heart, was also an anti-Black racist and mild anti-Semite, but that's what happens when you are born White in St. Louis in 1890 or so.

My grandpa made some cryptic comment about Jewish lawyers that meant Jewish lawyers were crooks, but I thought it meant they were the best to get you off the hook. Well, my brother repeated the comment and the lawyer went nuts, wanted to know all about our grandpa, wanted to know what kind of name my brother's last name is (his last name is German, but he has a different last name than I do).

When he found out my brother had a German last name, he went totally psycho. My brother was just trying to apologize. Well, after that day, if you know Jews, things were never the same. My brother was an anti-Semite from an anti-Semitic German family. The lawyer quit trying to get a good deal and just sold out for peanuts and moved down to Mexico to retire. Plus, he sold out via a sweetheart deal with a Jewish judge.

Then my brother started developing some anti-Semitism and read all up on da Jews. Result is my brother is a good guy, and he's brilliant, but he's a bit of an anti-Semite, and it's all cuz of some stupid Jewish lawyer with a persecution complex.

Anyway, if you go through Shitler's List, it serves sort of like a WhoozaJew software program, because it is chock full of Jews! This is unfortunately important to know, as it's important to try to figure out why some public figures act like they do and why some writers write what they do.

Jews are sneaky and tricky and use fancy hairstyles to cover up the horns on their head. They deviously change their names and take Gentile names, but almost never Christian or Christina.

Run the WhoozaJew program and uncover any suspicious dark-haired person's deepest tribal connections.

I usually just go to Google and type "last name" + Jewish and try to go from there.

Keep in mind that a lot of Jewish names are also German names. As the Germans say, there's a little bit of Jew in every German, which makes the Holocaust all the more poignant really, as it makes it seems suicidal.

Evil Jews Bleed Gentile to Death for Matzos

Take a look at this sordid spectacle here. A pack of vicious, feral, Asiatic Zionist Jews surround a poor Gentile, Lance Thruster, (actually a stand-in for Jesus) in the woods somewhere in the Pale of Russia, torture him to death by crucifixion, and are in the process of draining all of the blood out of his body with thousands of pricks with tiny knives.

The blood is being collected as I write this, and Lance is still alive and typing somehow despite being nailed to the holy cross like our Savior. The blood will be collected and used to prepare matzo balls. The Blood Libel is no libel - it's actual truth, and you can see it right here on the Internets.

Seriously folks, I happen to know Lance, and I don't really think he is an anti-Semite at all. I think he's a college student at USC, my alma mater. He just hates Israel, that's all. These Zionist Jews are torturing him and roasting him over their fire, calling him racist, fascist, anti-Semite, Nazi, KKK, Jew-hater, bigot, skinhead, on and on.

They are also accusing him of being paranoid. Whenever you shine the light on any aspect of Jewish Power, you get accused by entire football fields of snarling Jews of suffering from a paranoid psychosis. Yeah, a paranoid psychosis called reality.

Jewlicious, I believe, is a liberal to progressive Jewish site who take a relatively soft line, as Jews go, on Zionism. Mostly young, hip, leftwing funny Jewish guys on there with a few of their female counterparts.

This just goes to show you that as far as Zionism goes, US Jewish society is just flat-out morally bankrupt these days.

It's also an object lesson in how to create anti-Semites. If poor Lance makes it through this session with hating Jews too much, he deserves a medal. Lots of folks are just plain human and don't have such powers, so anti-Semitism grows while Israel cheers and urges the Diaspora to high-tail to Eretz Israel pronto. It's not quite conspiracy, but it's pretty squalid.

Via Philip Weiss, who gets the scoop from Electronic Intifada, and thence to Joachim Martillo for final comment, it seems the paranoid and delusional world that I revealed in Wikipedia, Ziopedia or Judeopedia fully two years ago is finally starting to be proven true. But of course. I saw it with my very eyes.

I saw the Jewish Nationalist cabal on there and got nailed, run up by admins and then banned by them. Then I wrote about it. I don't see how anyone could spend much time on Wikipedia and not notice these wicked little toads running amok all over that precious online encyclopedia.

The Electronic Intifada piece reveals a concerted effort by CAMERA, a rightwing Zionist lobby in the US, to infiltrate Wikipedia surreptitiously, ingratiate themselves with editors, get all pro-Palestinian editors run up on fake charges and hopefully run out, and to eventually move on up into the ranks of administrators. So my paranoid delusions about Jewish conspiracies on Wikipedia were proven true after all.

I can tell you flat out that the Administrators are already chock full of either members of this Jewish Cabal or rightwing libertarians allied with them. Jimmy Wales himself is a rightwing libertarian who has strong pro-Zionist views that he does not hide. The administrators are chosen well to carry out a specific agenda.

No one has ever run up these cackling criminal Heckles and Jeckles in this Jewish Cabal on anything yet, and anyone who mentions a peep about it gets put on their creepy neo-Nazi list (I made it on) which I guess has hundreds of names on it, in typical Jewish paranoid fashion.

Not only that, but the Jewish Cabal runs around crowing and bragging about their very project all the time; they call themselves The Cabal, The Jewish Cabal, and other names, so they are totally blatant about what they are doing. But if anyone dares to notice this and points it out, onto the neo-Nazi list you go, and soon you will be run up to Administrators on totally faked charges and then run out of Wikipedia.

I don't think I have ever seen a Jewish-critical or pro-Palestinian editor who lasted long there. It's been two years since I wrote that post, and I keep hoping things have changed, but I keep getting emails from pro-Palestinian folks who just got run out of Wikipedia.

On Phil's post, the truly disgusting Richard Witty, "Peace Now Zionist - Jewish nationalist - defender of the Jews" who seems to inhabit all of Phil's threads is squirming around as usual. One gets the impression he is writing on a pincushion. This crap is getting harder and harder for the Richard Witty's of the world to deny.

The usual rejoinders are employed by Witty - this happens all over the web, this is the problem with open source editing, there are cabals all over the place in our world, including the Internet.

Sure, I saw plenty of cabals trying to form on Wikipedia, usually on nationalistic or political issues. And they were crushed, one by one, but conscientious editors. However, curiously, the sickening little Jewish cabal was allowed not only to survive but to run amok across all of Wikipedia! Riddle me that!

And recently, a particularly vile and scummy Hindutva - Hindu Nationalist - Indian Nationalist Cabal has formed and this cabal has also been allowed to run wild all over all of the India and Pakistan articles on Wikipedia. The result is that most of the articles on India and Pakistan have been totally destroyed by stinking fascist Hindutva worms.

The Hindutva Cabal, of course, has formed an alliance with the Jewish Cabal, Jewish fascist dogs with Indian fascist dogs, all in one kennel, crapping on the floor, humping each others' legs and yip-yapping away, just like in real life.

One Jayg is mentioned in the article as not a member of the CAMERA cabal, but instead a sympathetic outsider. Actually, Jayg is one of the leading members of the Jewish Cabal on Wikipedia. He's one of the worst Jewish POV-pushers of them all.

Zeq, the leader of the CAMERA cabal, is also a well-known member of the Jewish Cabal on Wikipedia. The reason Zeq speaks poor English, I believe, is because he is an Israeli.

I am familiar with both of these sociopathic runts.

I believe they are both admins too, but I may be wrong.

Joachim Martillo has posted a lengthy and excellent opus, Judonia Rising: The Israeli Lobby and American Society, on one of his websites, an encyclopedic analysis of the US Israeli Lobby and its effects on US society. Noam Chomsky offered a critique (see the first comment at the end of the post for details), and afterwards, Joachim rewrote several pages. I have also been asked to offer a critique.

This is a very important work that ought to be read in full by anyone interested in the subject. It deserves to be widely disseminated and commented on, dissected and analyzed.

First of all, I agree with much of what he has written so there is no need to comment on what I agree on. If I don't mention it in what follows, that probably means I agree.

I do disagree with certain things.

Obviously, as a Commie, I have serious issues with the whole Bolshevik Jew killers thing. It's hard to argue that people who reduced the death rate by 70% in Russia were the worst killers to ever set foot in Russia. I'm so tired of debating the Bolshevik Jew killer thing that I don't even want to get into it anymore.

Now, for the rest.

It is incorrect to say that Jewish values include early age of sexual initiation and serial polygamy. Kevin MacDonald notes that US Jews have sex at the latest age of any ethnic group. They also have some of the most stable marriages last time I checked.

It's difficult to lump Abigail Thornton, a rightwing Jewish Republican opposed to civil rights, in with a US Jewish agenda that relentlessly promotes civil rights. Martillo fails to note that the Jewish neocons are actually opposed to civil rights law in the US, either by promoting Supreme Court justices sworn to dismantle it or by cheering on Republicans who have been refusing to enforce civil rights laws for almost 30 years now.

It's very hard to say that Friedmanite freemarketeer neoliberalism is part of the US Jewish agenda, as most US Jewish organizations are agnostic on economics and if anything, promote more state intervention, regulation of business, socialist redistribution programs, socialized medicine and education, etc.

Friedmanism is part of the agenda of the neocons, but the neocon agenda in whole is embraced by only at most 20% of US Jews who vote Republican. This is where the equation of Jewish neoconservatives with US Jews gets dangerous and wrong. US Jews vote up to 80% Dem in recent years.

Neocons are best seen as a rightwing split-off of Republican Jews whose views in whole are rejected by the overwhelming majority of US Jews. However, on Israel, many liberal US Jews are becoming neocons in whole or in part, but the average US Jew is still pretty diverse on Israel. It is better to say that the large US Jewish organizations have gone over to neoconservatism on Israel.

I am still not sure that the US media can be painted as 100% Jewish owned, as there are large media firms still run by old WASP money. Murdoch is apparently Jewish, but that goes way back. Here is a summary from the web on Murdoch's Jewish connection. It sounds reasonable:

Rupert (actually Keith Rupert) Murdoch's father was Keith Murdoch (died 1952), his mother Elisabeth Joy (nee Greene) and yes her mother, Marie Grace de Lancey Forth was born from a Jewish mother.

Rupert's paternal grandfather, Patrick John, was a reverend, the maternal grandmother was Marie Grace de Lancey Forth, who was born in Warnambool, Victoria (Australia), HER mother Caroline Jemima (nee Sherson) was born to a Jewish family, hence by "Jewish law", making Rupert Jewish.

Also for the record, it was not unheard of "way back then" for Protestants or Catholics to marry Jews, and I know this as my grandparents are prime example. My grandfather, born in Ireland in 1895 to a prominent protestant family, married a Jewish woman, making my father and all his siblings Jews.

The Jewish ancestry comes purely from the MATERNAL line and has squat to do with the paternal.

It should also be noted that many Jewish families settled in Australia post 1788.

It's downright bizarre the way so many ethnocentric voraciously attack the notion that Murdoch is Jewish. You would think they want to claim him.

Martillo fails to discuss the theory of the Jewified US Gentile, as Albert Lindemann coined the term in his book Esau's Tears, Anti-Semitism and the Rise of the Jews. This is also a theme of Yuri Slezkine's Jewish Century, the theme of which is best described as "we are all Jews now". Many US Gentiles are Jewified via marriage to or deep friendship with ethnocentric Jews.

This aspect of US politics is overlooked in folks trying to "blame it all on the Jew". Americans support Jews and support Israel. We are Jewified. I believe Karl Marx said that in 100 years the US would be a Jewish country. He was correct.

How those Gentiles got Jewified is open to debate.Perhaps they became Judeophiles and Zionists by brainwashing. Well, so what? Most of our political views are due to propaganda of some sort. Any analysis of US Jewry, the Lobby, etc, that does not take into account all of the Gentile support for Israel is bound to fail.

US Jews have plenty of money, but it is mostly in certain parts of economy. They were run out of the banks long ago and the Holocaust finished off the rest of Jewish banking power. Banks are now run by international corporations out of Japan, Hong Kong, Europe and the US. The ones in the US are not noticeably Jewish-owned.

It is true that Jews are important in investment banking. They made serious gains in this area in 1910-1920 but the effort to take over the regular banks was resisted by Gentile ethnic warfare. Jews also tried to take over the stock market at that time but were rebuffed similarly.

All of this is documented extensively in Henry Ford's The International Jew, an excellent book that is often not really anti-Semitic in any way, and at any rate is essential reading for documentation of US Jewish ethnic warfare in the US from 1900-1920. It was during this period that the Jewish Hollywood and media dominances were created.

I do not believe that the US financial or high tech industries are run by Jews at all. US Jews are huge in retail department stores, especially clothing, and also in jewelry, furs and a few other things. They don't really dominate real estate at all.

I also disagree that a US Jewish or Zionist elite is set to take over a rather democratically diminished US. There will be some Jews in such a setup, mostly neoconservatives, but most will be White Gentiles like Bush, Rumsfeld, Rove and Cheney, with some Blacks like Condoleeza Rice and the Powells and some Latinos like Alberto Gonzales.

Increasingly, the US is becoming a caste society based on income alone, and members of any race may join these hard rightwingers in their elitist project. It's all about money, not race, religion or ethnicity.

This undemocratic, quasi-fascist project will be resisted by many, and I assure you that liberal US Jews will be leading the charge to oppose this nightmare. People see Jews leading contrary movements going head to head with each other and think it's all part of an exceptionally devious and convoluted Jewish plot.

The truth is so much more mundane: Jews simply lead movements, and are also disproportionately attracted to fanaticism and extremism in general, in part due to the nature of Judaism itself, as Kevin MacDonald points out.

In related news, Tom Lantos, longtime Congressman from San Mateo, is dead. A Hungarian Jew and a Holocaust survivor, he has been a longtime, very strong supporter of the Israeli government. He led the charge to invade Iraq and promised an Israeli legislator that the US would take out Saddam for the benefit of both countries in 2002.

He helped rally Congressional Democrats to go along with Bush's mad war. Lantos is a good example of some of the very liberal California Jews who represent us Californians. They are superb on most liberal issues and get high marks from most liberal organizations on their voting records.

But on Israel, they are often surprisingly hawkish. Barbara Boxer and Diane Feinstein are good examples, as is Brad Sherman. As a progressive, I would probably vote for them, as the Republican running against them would be just as pro-Israel, if not more, along with being wrong about all the domestic stuff. Politics is so complicated.

As'ad AbuKhalil of the Angry Arab blog has a great article up about George Habash of the PFLP in the Electronic Intifada, who we wrote about previously. The lead photo is really nice too; I would run it here but I'm unsure about rights issues. EI, run by Ali Abunimah, is a great publication with superb views on the conflict.

It's run by reasonable Palestinians, exemplified by Abunimah, and their supporters, and it's as far from Hamas and Islamic Jihad as it is from Zionism. Zionists, mostly Jews, have been running a vicious campaign against Abunimah for years calling him an anti-Semite (What else?) but there's nothing to it.

To what extent the views of EI represent those of the average Palestinian on the street is not known. My worry is that as this conflict festers idiots like Hamas and IJ and bigger idiots like Al Qaeda will gain increasing power in Palestine. They won't achieve their goals, and I would not want them to anyway, but a lot more people, mostly Palestinians, are going to die.

AbuKhalil is wrong about one thing in his piece - that the PFLP hardly exists anymore.

While dwarfed by Hamas and Fatah, it's still a large and powerful organization with at least 80,000 active supporters, plenty of money, a fully armed guerrilla force that carries out regular attacks, a busy propaganda faction with websites, a newspaper and magazines, and up to a dozen above-ground organizations for everything from youth to women to workers.

Islamic Jihad gets way more press, but they are not much bigger than the PFLP. As an example, the PFLP fired 7 missiles on February 5th and 2 rockets on February 6th, all from Gaza and aimed at Sderot and Ashkelon. I think shooting these rockets is idiotic, but it's kind of hard to understand how a nonexistent army can fire 7 rockets in 2 days. They also fought a battle with Israeli forces in Gaza on February 5th.

Countering Lies About Hezbollah

Ever since the Lebanon War last summer between Hezbollah and Israel, much nonsense has been written about this organization, much of it from Zionists and US imperialists in the press. It is time for a rational overview.

Lie: Hezbollah is the puppet of Iran and Syria.

Not true! Is Israel the puppet of the US? Well, the US supports Israel, right? Despite the US support, Israel is not the puppet of the US. Israel does what it damned well wants. Well, yes, Hezbollah gets support from Syria and Iran, but they don't take orders from them anymore than Israel takes orders from America.

In truth, Hezbollah does what it wants. Iran was probably informed before Hezbollah started this war, but that's about it. And Hezbollah's autonomy from Syria is well-documented. Syria uses Hezbollah to keep up the pressure on Israel, not because they want to kill all the Jews, like insane Zionists insist, but because they want the Golan Heights back.

Iran supports Hezbollah in order to support Shia power in the region, and because Hezbollah's leadership supports the Iranian revolution and because Iran hates Israel.

Lie: The Lebanon War was started by Iran to take the heat off its nuclear program.

Not true! It looks like Hezbollah started the war on its own in order to try to win back some Lebanese that Israel has been holding captive for a long time.

But they had no idea that the war would go this way. They thought it would just be a few days of shelling back and forth and then they would get down to some hard bargaining. They were totally taken by surprise by Israel's response.

Lie: Hezbollah "started the war".

Well, yes, Hezbollah conducted a cross-border raid, killed and wounded some Israelis, then grabbed some captives and took them back to Lebanon.

But to place all of the responsibility for the resulting war in which Israel destroyed Lebanon is insane. Israel's wild response was part of a war that they had been planning for over a year, in concert with the US, and the war was conducted by both the US and Israel.

In fact, Ehud Olmert has recently given testimony in Israel that he had been planning this war for months along with the neocons in the Bush Administration. The Israeli military already had advanced plans for this war that they had developed with Ariel Sharon.

The neocons were trying to use the war against Hezbollah as an excuse to attack Syria, but Israel would not take the bait. They wanted to go after Hezbollah's main backer, Iran. Since Iran could not be hit itself, the second best option was to go after Syria. The apparent purpose was to weaken Iran's allies Syria and Hezbollah prior to an attack on Iran itself.

This explains why both the US and Israel have been refusing to deal with Syria's increasingly desperate efforts to negotiate a settlement on the Golan Heights (Syria is even willing to turn the Golan into a "peace park" and give Israelis free access to visit it.

Since this war, logically, Syria has been edgy, and has been building up its forces along the border with Israel. But in the crazy paranoid Israeli mindset, this is seen as Syria preparing for a (in my opinion, an obviously suicidal) war with Israel. Even the distinguished Martin Van Creveld, Israel's top military historian, has bought into this nonsense.

What will stop the upcoming Syrian war? Let's ask Van Creveld. Only a US attack on Iran. What will hasten it? A US withdrawal from Iraq and a US refusal to attack Iran. We can see the twisted Israeli thinking. If the US does what Israel wants, the nonexistent war can be prevented. If the US acts against Israel's wishes in the region, the fake war can be prevented.

Lie: Hezbollah is an insane terrorist group that is dedicated to killing all the Jews.

Jews just love this one, since so many of them are afflicted with a paranoid-masochistic character that just eats this stuff up. It's not true.

Hezbollah is not opposed to a Jewish state, they just don't like that Jews stole Palestine, which they did. Lebanon is a Lebanese nationalist organization. They mobilized to fight Israel when Israel annexed South Lebanon. Ten years of guerrilla war won it back for Hezbollah and Lebanon and Hezbollah were the heroes of Lebanese nationalists.

Hezbollah is now fighting to get back the Shebaa Farms, Lebanese land that Israel occupies and refuses to give back to Lebanon on some very phony grounds. They have also made some noises about three or four Lebanese Shia villages that Israel conquered, ethnically cleansed and annexed in the 1948 War.

Many of the people in the South, where many Palestinians live in refugee camps, and people have lived through numerous conflicts with Israel, really hate Israel, and understandably so. So here for an overview of the people's views of Israel.

Hezbollah has said that if the Palestinians accept Israel for a Palestinian state, Hezbollah will stand by that. Unfortunately, Hezbollah's leaders have made some lamentable anti-Semitic remarks and it is disgusting that they call one of their missiles "Khaibar" in reference to the Khaibar tribe of Jews who had their men killed and their women enslaved by Mohammad.

Lie: Hezbollah are radical fundamentalist Muslims, like Al Qaeda.

Not so! At the beginning, Hezbollah laid down Islamic Law in south Lebanon but over time they found that it was not going over well, so since 1990 or so, they have lifted most of their restrictions.

At the time, Hezbollah banned alcohol and forced women to wear headcovers. Both of those bans have now been lifted by Nasrallah. However, Hezbollah still arrests homosexuals and turns them over the Lebanese police, since I believe that homosexuality is illegal in Lebanon. They may beat some of them too.

The Shia in particular seem to take a hard line against homosexuality, as the Iranian regime and the Iraq Shia have really persecuted gay men. The Iranians mostly beat them up, harass them and send them to jail for short stays. The Iraqi Shia have also been beating them, but apparently they have also killed quite a few gay men.

The Shia doing this include the Dawa and SCIRI parties that the US supports in Iraq. Hezbollah's supporters include many liberated females, I saw a video on Youtube of Lebanese women without hijabs driving a car and smoking cigarettes, then doing a belly dance, all the while saying how they supported Hezbollah.

Hezbollah rallies have included quite a few beautiful young women without hijabs, and many have been dressed racily. Josh Landis tells of how during the Lebanese Civil War, when Hezbollah took over a district, they imposed Islamic Law, but it went over so poorly that they soon rescinded most of it.

Lie: Well, at least Iran is a radical fundamentalist state like Al Qaeda.

Nor is Iran. Women have many more rights in Iran than they do in the Gulf. The dress code is loosely adhered to and the religious police no longer bother mixed couples. Fredericks of Hollywood stores dot Tehran.

Middle class and upper middle class young people are engaging in lots of promiscuous sex and not much is being done to stop them. One of Iran's top race car drivers is a woman. There are many women in Parliament and most or all professions are open to women. Compare to Saudi Arabia where only 5% or so of women are even employed.

Alcohol, marijuana and especially opium are widely consumed at parties and not much is done about that. Prostitution is widespread, especially in the religious city of Qom, where they serve the religious students. There, throngs of young women meet men and go before mullahs to get a temporary marriage in order to have sex.

The temporary marriage is merely a cover for prostitution. There is so much prostitution in Tehran that the religious leadership has suggested having official houses for them, all under the banner of temporary marriage. The religious leadership has also recognized transsexualism and one of the top mullahs is a transsexual.

Temporary marriage is widespread, and a famous Iranian female parliamentarian has had sexual relationships with many men, including top mullahs, under this rubric and has written about it. Also, Iran is much more democratic than most of the Sunni regimes, and this is one of the things that the Sunni regimes fear most about Iran.

Supporters of this theory can always come up with this or that atrocity to demonstrate how Iran is an Al Qaeda-like state, but the truth is more complicated than that.

Lie: Hezbollah has savagely persecuted the Israeli-backed South Lebanese Army.

After Israel's withdrawal in 2000, most people expected that there would be widespread paybacks for the South Lebanese Army (most of whom were Shia, not Maronites as it is commonly thought.

In fact, after Israel withdrew, Hezbollah issued a directive forbidding any attacks on the South Lebanon Army members, many of whom just went home. Quite a few others defected over to Israel.

That's pretty amazing, considering that the French Resistance executed 10,000 "traitors" during World War 2. It's also highly untypical behavior for a "terrorist" group.

Lie: Hezbollah is a terrorist group.

Well, for the most part it is a Lebanese resistance organization, and the vast majority of its attacks are against Israeli military targets.

It's true that during the war, they fired rockets at Israeli cities and killed some civilians, but many of those attacks were actually aimed at strategic targets like arms factories and military bases that Israel cynically put right in the middle of Arab towns, so that if they enemy attacked, they would kill a lot of Arabs by accident.

On the other hand, Israel killed far more civilians in this war, and somehow avoided the "terrorist" label. Isn't that kind of unfair?

Lie: Hezbollah and Iran are out to kill or convert all the Sunnis and then attack and kill or convert all the infidels in a world war, after which everyone will be a Shia Muslim.

I could not believe that people actually believed that one, but I heard a number of (mostly) Zionists and US imperialists repeating this bit of Sunni paranoia.

On the Sunni conversion, see here. On the rest of it, forget it. Shia is the nigger of the (Muslim) World. The relationship between Sunni and Shia is similar to that between Whites and Blacks during the Jim Crow South, with the Sunnis being the Whites and Shia being the Blacks.

The notion of Shia takeover is similar to fantasies of poor downtrodden Blacks taking over the South, or America. In Lebanon, the Shia say that the Sunnis used to only let them work as garbage collectors. Shia youngsters were routinely taunted and attacked by Sunni gangs in Beirut in the 1970's.

Lie: Hezbollah gets Iranian money for schools and hospitals to brainwash Lebanese into supporting the terrorists.

No! The reason they do this is because to this day, the bigoted Lebanese government that the US supports provides almost zero money whatsoever for any kind of development whatsoever in South Lebanon.

This is the reality of Lebanon, and its always been this way. Someone has to do it, the government won't, so Hezbollah steps in. Good for them!

Lie: Hezbollah is trying to take over Lebanon to make a fundamentalist Islamic state there.

Well, that is their stated intention. In the early days, they may have believed it.

In recent statements, Nasrallah has said that an Islamic state is only possible in Lebanon if the "vast majority", meaning over 80% or so, or people support it. That is not likely any time in the near future, so the project is all but written off. Hezbollah is reckoning itself to Lebanese reality.

Lie: Lebanese Christians are poor, downtrodden and horribly persecuted by Muslims.

Nonsense. In fact, they have always run the country! This lie is spread by some of the Maronite fascists. In the late 1950's, Marines landed in Lebanon to help preserve an election that the Christians stole.

The real cause of the Civil War was the Muslims wanting a fairer share of the pie that the Christians had unfairly dominated for far too long. The Christians are being forced to concede some of their excess power in Lebanon (though they still have most of the money and much of the political power) and this is why some of the Maronites are wailing so much about "persecution".

Lie: The Lebanon War last year was between Israel and a group of terrorists called Hezbollah. Most other Lebanese were not involved or opposed Hezbollah.

As you can see here, Israel was fighting much more than Hezbollah in South Lebanon.

In the Battle of Aita Al Shaab, most of the village fought against Israel, under the leadership of Hezbollah, true, but most fighters were just "local militia" who were not actually Hezbollah fighters. Further, there was quite a bit of fighting from members of the Lebanese Communist Party. The Amal militia fought against Israel too.

Truth is, Israel was essentially fighting a war against the people of South Lebanon. It's true that a certain amount of that resistance was Hezbollah, but much of it was just local militia fighting for their homes and towns.

In the town of Marjayoun, during the Civil War the headquarters of the pro-Israeli South Lebanon Army, Israel came under attack soon after they entered the town by members of Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP). Most of the members of this party are Greek Orthodox.

In fact, it may be the most popular political party among Lebanese Greek Orthodox. In the Sunni villages, the local Muslim Brotherhood and another fundamentalist group organized an armed resistance.

Furthermore, 80-90% of Lebanese supported Hezbollah during the war, including 80% of Christians. The sickening US media deliberately lied about this, making much of the tiny minority of Lebanese who opposed Hezbollah, acting like they were the majority, and trying to portray the country as "divided".

Lie: Hezbollah forces salute using "Nazi salutes", so that means that Hezbollah idolizes and Nazis and wants to kill all the Jews just like Nazis did.

In the last example, written by a militant Jewish Zionist named Lewis Loflin, although the photo on the right is of Hezbollah forces giving a "Nazi salute", the photo on the right, which he states is of a Hamas fighter giving the Nazi salute, is actually of a PFLP fighter.

You can tell it is a PFLP fighter by the characteristic red headband and the poster and Ahmed Sa'adat, the present leader of the PFLP. Many people say that the PFLP is dead, but it is interesting how a dead organization could afford full uniforms, headbands, posters and automatic weapons.

This blog strongly supports the PFLP, and as leftists, I assure you that the mainstream PFLP does not like Nazis one bit.

The fact is that the "Nazi salutes used by Hezbollah fighters" is propaganda.

This is a type of salute which was originally known as the "Roman salute". It has a fascinating history, and was widely used by many countries before World War II. Under the name "Bellamy salute" or "flag salute", it used to be usual salute used when saying the US Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of the United States. A photo of the Bellamy salute is here.

Because of the similarity between the Bellamy salute and the Nazi salute, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt instituted the hand-over-the-heart gesture as the salute to be rendered by civilians during the Pledge of Allegiance and the national anthem in the United States, instead of the Bellamy salute.

The association with Nazism has been so strong that the salute has rarely been used by non-Nazi organizations since the end of World War II. There are several exceptions; one is the Republic of China (Taiwan), where the salute is still used during the swearing of oaths in inaugurations.

The salute is also still used by some Palestinian militant groups. It is also known to be used by the Tamil separatist organization, the LTTE, while saluting their leader Velupillai Prabhakaran.

Lie: Hezbollah does not support Israel's right to exist and therefore they want to wipe it off and map and kill all 5.1 million Jews there in the process. Embedded in this clever argument is the notion that any nation or regime has any kind of inherent right to exist.

Did colonies and empires and occupied territories have a right to exist too? The very notion that any nation-state on Earth has some kind of a rock-solid "right" to exist is strange and counterintuitive.

Sure, humans have a right to get together and make nations out of mapped out geographical parcels, but why does that mean that that nation has some kind of a laid in tone specific right to exist?

The fact is that throughout history, nations, empires and colonies have come and gone. The ones that no longer exist had no greater or lesser right to exist than any existing state does.

Meanwhile, the US has initiated a very controversial plan to counter Shia influence in the region. The plan is being coordinated with Saudi Arabia, specifically Prince Bandar, who has a longstanding relationship with US Administrations, and possibly the Jordanian government, especially Jordanian intelligence.

They are working to arm and build up the pro-US Siniora government and stoke sectarianism in Lebanon.

Part of this plan, outrageously, has involved money given by the US, via the Siniora regime, to three Sunni Salafist groups who are pro-Al Qaeda. These groups are being armed in order to fight Hezbollah (since they loathe Shiites). If push comes to shove between Hezbollah and the Lebanese government, these groups will be used to battle it out with Hezbollah.

The Saudis are racists who hate the Shia and want to keep them down. In fact, most of the Sunni Arab regimes are like this. They all look to the Ottoman Empire when the Sunnis ruled the roost and the Shia were kept down by force. This is the Sunni Jim Crow era that they long for.

It is outrageous that the US is supporting Sunni Jim Crow racism against the downtrodden Shia and it is particularly despicable that the Israeli Jews, considering the history of the Jews, are supporting the oppressor against the oppressed. Or maybe that is what Israel is all about?
