Very disturbing video. A toddler wanders in front of a van in a narrow alleyway in China. The driver apparently does not see the child and runs over it. He realizes what he did and takes off instead of sticking around. A second van then runs over the kid again. This one also figures out what he did and takes over. The frantic mother is freaking out the whole time.

There was some sort of capitalist mercenary motive involved here, but I forget what it was. Something about insurance, but I forget the details. All hail Deng Xiaoping!

Skinned Alive

This video is called Skinned Alive, by PETA, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Despite the title, I had a hard time finding any animals in this video that were actually being skinned alive.

The video is about the fur trade in China, which is notorious for its cruelty. The first part of the video shows the treatment of raccoon dogs, which are raised for their fur in China.

They are kept in small cages under terrible conditions in all weather. Then they are taken from their cages and beaten to death with iron bars in front of the other raccoon dogs, who watch and await their fate. The raccoon dogs writhe on the ground, suffering, for a long time after they are beaten.

Then we move on to footage of raccoon dogs being skinned. The skinned carcass is then thrown onto a sickening pile with the rest of the carcasses.

Next we see footage of rabbits. These are White rabbits, apparently also raised for their fur. A rabbit is taken out of its cage and apparently strung up with some kind of rope. Then a worker grabs the rabbit and quickly breaks its neck. Now the rabbit is hanging upside down, but I am not sure if it is dead yet. The worker begins to make a cut near the rabbit's rear end.

The video ends with a message about the cruelty of Chinese fur farms and urges people to not buy fur.

This video is very strange. It was apparently taken in China recently, but I don't know it what city, and I don't have an exact date. The woman, in her 50's, is mentally disturbed or upset in some way, and possibly suicidal.

She has somehow managed to climb a high tension pole in the middle of a very busy street in some huge Chinese city. It's simply incredibly how much traffic and sheer humans are on the street below. It looks like New York City, but when you realize there are cities like this all over China, you understand what the word overpopulation means.

Anyway, she is up there in broad daylight causing a scene and snarling traffic down below. For some reason, she reaches out and touches one of the high-tension wires and gets a huge electricity shock. You can see it run from her hand through her arm all the way to her head. She seems to catch on fire for a second, but then it goes out. A while later, as rescue workers are climbing the pole to save her, she idiotically touches the tension wires again, and gives herself another shock.

Curiously, she does not seem to be harmed too much by the shocks, and is still very much alive, though she has a nasty burn on her hand. Finally at the end she gets rescued, and we are told that she survived the episode with minor injuries.

It's uncertain why she was relatively unharmed by the voltage while the guy on the train in India was fried like an egg on a skillet. It has something to do with the notion of "grounding."

It appears that she was not properly grounded enough to kill her. There needs to be a relatively direct line from where the voltage hits all the way to ground for a voltage hit to be highly destructive or lethal. She somehow interrupted the hit to ground trajectory of the current, so her damage was fairly minor. I don't understand the notion of "grounding" very well, but it's essential to electrical engineering.

This is a very disturbing video showing barbaric Chinese people eating a carp that has been cooked in a special way so that it is still alive after being cooked. It's head is kept wrapped in a cool towel to cool it off so it stays alive while the rest of it is charred well. Then it is served to Chinese diners who pick at the flesh with chopsticks while giggling and laughing.

This is just sickening. I am a fisherman and I eat fish too, but a fish should be dead when you eat it. It broke my heart to see that fish still moving, after being nearly burned at the stake and boiled in oil and then to be consumed while alive. This is one of the supreme forms of torture.

The Indians of the Gulf Coast of the Southern USA such as the Karankawa and Tunica used to tie captive enemy warriors to a burning stake, then rush up to them with knives and slice off a bit of their flesh and consume it in front of them to drive them mad with cruelty. If it's wrong to do it to a human, it's wrong to do it to a fish. Kill the fish first, then eat it.

White nationalists often comment that Northeast Asians are a cruel and barbaric people, and I think there might be some truth to this, at least in the case of the Chinese. The Chinese need to climb out of the Middle Kingdom fantasy and come join the rest of the civilized world in the 21st Century.

Lists all of the official minorities, with a good anthropological background for them, along with a good history, a bit about the language, customs, religious beliefs, culture, etc., then onto recent history.

The history and recent history is written according to Marxist economic analysis, and shows how the coming of the Chinese Revolution really did improve things for many minorities.

I've been scared to read the part about the Tibetans and Uighurs.

I'm sure in the case of Tibet it will talk about how the revolution ended feudalism (Yes, there was real feudalism in Tibet.) in Tibet and made life better for most Tibetans. One thing no one tells you about the Free Tibet crowd was that the Dalai Lama presided over a particularly horrible modern form of feudalism, complete with castes and out and out slavery.

The site does provide a tremendous amount of evidence that the Chinese revolution has resulted in tremendous improvements in the lives of many Chinese minorities. Anti-Communists seem to be blind to that fact. Life in China in 1949 and the decades prior was no picnic!

It's pretty cool to have an anthropological overview of lots of interesting ethnic groups written strictly from a Marxist perspective. More typical is this one, still very well-done, but written by hardline Estonian anti-Communists. It deals with the ethnic groups of the Former Soviet Union.

I wasn't aware that the USSR had destroyed every single ethnic group in the country until these stalwart Balts informed me. I realize the Balts are pissed, but it needn't taint your scholarship.
